Usually there is not "default" specified, should it be there or not?

Hi Markus,

I believe it does serve a purpose, perhaps when the color table
is based on fixed values instead of %, and does not extend far
enough to cover the range of the data, but the values are not
null either? In that case the default is white so the above may
be redundant.
