this looks awesome. I guess this will help with issue #2626 I encountered
recently.

yes, it's a goal. Now it should work with db.login (host/port). Other
modules like v.out.ogr I am planning to test/update later (I hope
during this weekend).

BTW, do you have any plans to make it easily testable using Docker [2, 3]?

Hopefully will have time for that too.
