OK. But GRASS 6 still has the interface in wxGUI preferences for language settings, even though it doesn't work correctly. So do we remove that apparatus (which also can cause the GUI to crash under some circumstances), or fix it?
I'm copying the rest of the dev group because this turns out to be not just a simple port, as you note.
