Dear all,
JFYI Thomas Leppelt and i have developed a new version of the temporal
algebra that brings new spatio-temporal operators and new functions.
This version of the algebra should be final and will be introduced in
a paper that we will write soon. The algebra is available in latest
grass trunk (aka 7.1).
I have recently added a new approach to the existing algebra that uses
the common granularity of all space time datasets in an expression to
sample them for map calculations. In this approach there is no need
for spatio-temporal topological operators. All STDS will have the same
granularity while processing, hence the look and feel will be like
r.mapcalc expressions. This approach will also be introduced in our
new paper (that has to be written).
I added plenty of tests in the temporal framework and plan to replace
the t.rast.mapcalc and t.rast3d.mapcalc approaches with the new
granularity based one.
Following a suggestion from Martin Landa the t.*.mapcalc2 modules that
make use of the temporal algebra are now renamed to t.*.algebra
modules.
Best regards
Soeren
