Maybe I missed something, but it seems that very recently, there has been a
fundamental change to the behavior of the overwrite and quite flags. You
used to be able to write EITHER --o OR ‹overwrite and --q OR ‹quiet. Now --o
and --q are not accepted and you must write --quiet or --overwrite.
Is this intentional? It is breaking scripts, including the GUI.

I cannot reproduce this; both --o and --q work fine for me.

Same here; no problems with --o and --q using today's cvs update with make distclean.
