[GRASS-dev] r.texture: can the 0..255 limit be eliminated?

Hi,

I tried to run r.texture on PALSAR Radar data which failed since the data range
exceeds 255.

Question: could the 255bit limit be eliminated in the code (I tried a
but but got
funny results)?

Alternative: add the scaling mechanism from i.pca to r.texture to avoid the
preprocessing with r.rescale (I have many maps to process)?
