I'm still waiting for Hamish to check a patch for d.labels to allows
precision placement that v.label.sa. So far he has been to busy to check
it. *shrug*
The issue is not with the patch itself -- I have full confidence in Wolf's
coding. Rather it is how the approach taken fits in with the rest of the
labeling system.
In the past I thought that the approach was not right, but have been holding my tongue until I could articulate the issue clearly and propose
a better solution. ... which requires time digging in and understanding
the code of four modules.
I have some ideas; I'll try and expand on that after work today, in the
mean time please don't anyone "just apply" the patch in SVN, as there's
a good reason I haven't already done that.
again apologies to Wolf for taking so long on this, I promised him I'd
look at this ages ago.
