I think it would be useful to have a sample data set with current and future bioclimatic data sets. Can we add one, e.g., as an extra set, similar to the Climatic data time series already available on https://grass.osgeo.org/download/sample-data/? I wouldn't mind creating a set. I could for example ask worldclim.org for permission to use their data (using the NC data extent), or I can look for other appropriately licensed data sets? If hosting is a problem, I can put it on my site and provide the link?
It might be interesting to have STRDS already set-up, though.
And maybe one day of rainfall from GPM IMERG could be interesting. I
don't think there are license restrictions for NASA products. I would
not mind creating one strds from those.
Cheers,
Laurent

I've made a STRDS of 5 days of rainfall in North Carolina, from 1st to
5th of October 2015
(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/October_2015_North_American_storm_complex).
This is the calibrated precipitation from GPM IMERG3 half hourly data,
for a total of 240 maps at 10km resolution.
If interested you can download the 500kB archive (from t.rast.export) here:
