Hi,
I am trying to not mess-up anything in grass-addons. Hence, I first
uploaded the i.fusion.hpf script in sandbox:
Is it possible to get the add-on from the sandox, via g.extension, under
Windows? I have no easy access to a windows machine with GRASS and co.
Anyone willing to test?
Thanks, Nikos
ps- the plan is, still, to integrate the method in i.pansharpen, but I really
have no time to work on this also.

it's not possible, to enable installing this extension via
g.extension, you need to move this extension to `grass7/imagery`.

Thanks Martin. Is grass7/imagery the safest place to move into? Just
to confirm.

yes, as grass7/imagery/i.fusion.hpf. Use `svn move` to do this job. Martin

In which sense "safest place"? The directory
grass-addons/grass7/imagery/
is the right place for imagery Addons.

You need to svn checkout
the whole repository for this operation. At least this is what I have (grass-addons for work in addons but also the whole repo for these moves).

To test, before moving something into something more "official". That's
all. I haven't used svn that much, now or in the past, so I don't have a
clear overview for many of its functions. As well, it doesn't feel so easy as git.
is the right place for imagery Addons.

So, you folks keep a complete copy of it locally? Isn't it big?

OK, I kinda expected it's not that big in the end of the day. But this is Small
:-). This is why we also love FOSS!

This is size of “one” source code (119.3 MB for pure trunk, includes po files which are over 40 MB) but the whole GRASS SVN (12.3 GB) I need for moving things between sandbox, addons and main code. I don’t know about better way (but I’m interested if there is some). The size is one of the disadvantages of Subversion as compared to Git, each tag is a separate copy (grass/tags has 7.2 GB). On the other hand, if we would be using Git, sandbox, addons and main source code would be probably separate repositories, the moving file (including its history) would be a bigger challenge (I believe solvable but not as easy as svn checkout everything
+svn mv ...
).
But yes, I’m definitively using the advantage of having small source code, I have several trunk checkouts on my machine.
Hi Steve,
Nothing done from my side. Need to secure a job first. Would be
extremely happy to have the time to merge hpf into pansharpen.

Hi all,
Just wanted to check in about any updates regarding i.fusion.hpf and
running it in Windows, or if there were still plans to incorporate it into
i.pansharpen?
Cheers,
