[GRASS-dev] Total area of a polygon changes by shifting using v.transform in grass6.5

Dear all,

Any body can help me to recover the problem like-
“Total area of a polygon changes by shifting using v.transform in grass6.5”

Thanks & Regards,

Swapan

If I get the question right: intersect "before" and "after" with v.overlay,
then calculate the resulting area with v.report.

Actually I create a vector polygon using vector digitizing tool. My aim is to shift & rotate the created vector arround some elevated raster map using v.transform and create newvector.

Now I convert newvector polygon to raster suppose rast1.

Next generate report by passing two raster- elevated-raster, rast1.

After sending this maill I discover that vector area not changes but the converted raster area not same with vector polygon.

Thanks & Regards,

Swapan
