[GRASS-dev] Two "news" pages for 7.2?

Hi all,

how it works with the “news” pages for new releases? Now I see this:

https://trac.osgeo.org/grass/wiki/Release/7.2.0-News

and this:

https://trac.osgeo.org/grass/wiki/Grass7/NewFeatures72

on Trac. What is the difference? What is the difference to a classic Changelog which we don’t have?

you came too early  work in progress....

The second page will be heavily modified tonight. It shall *not*
replicate the first but will just become a summary.
Vero volunteered to sum up the nice stuff in 7.2. Besides that there
will be the classical 7.2.0-News page with the details.

Please stay tuned,
Markus

Could we also have a “NewFeatures73” or “NewFeaturesTrunk”? There are new features in trunk and at some stage (next release branch) they need to be mentioned in trac anyway.

good idea, it would be very useful to collect new features in advance.
It's hard to find out all new features after years of development. I
would suggest to call this page NewFeatures74. Then it can be used
when we release 7.4.0 which will be successor of 7.2.x.

thanks, call for developers: please could you update this page
regarding to new/improved features in trunk you know? I started with
MultiModule class (PyGRASS) which I discovered recently thanks to
Soeren. There will be more "hidden" new feature I am sure.

Thanks, Ma
