However distance is a more "proper" name for the parameter IMHO.
So keep it as distance in 7 maybe?

in devbr6 and relbr6_4 I have added backwards compatibility aliases for
the removed options. so all should be ok again.

Same thing happens for r.surf.fractal (option d=float has been changed
in option dimension=float). Could this also be fixed?
More generally: is there a list of changed options, so we can try and
fix them all?
