Hi Markus,
Maybe a newbie note, but it may help for comprehension.
For --with-glw, which software homepage to look for?
and similarly for non-obvious configure options.
Thank you,
Yann

I've been thinking I need to update (and simplify) the Mac OS X build instructions. Maybe I should take the opportunity to transfer them to the wiki?

The --with-glw option no longer has any use. It used to be required
for r3.showdspf, but that module is no longer built regardless of
configure switches. AFAIK, it has been made obsolete by recent version
of NVIZ.
FWIW, there are two implementations of the GLw library, from:
http://www.x.org/ (part of X11)
or:
http://www.mesa3d.org/ (part of Mesa)
and similarly for non-obvious configure options.
Other libraries which may be used but which aren't documented in
REQUIREMENTS.html are:
FFMPEG: http://ffmpeg.sourceforge.net/index.php
OpenDWG: http://www.opendesign.com/
