[GRASS-dev] WinGRASS-6.3.0RC6 Self Installer

I think that we should be OK now:

http://www.webalice.it/marco.pasetti/temp/README.html

I also added info about the New GRASS Python GUI.

Do I proceed with packaging and building of RC6 self installer?

I would say yes - I am travelling next week to the FOSSGIS 2008
(http://www.fossgis.de) and could hand out the installer there.
The German GRASS association will prepare take-away
Linux-based live DVDs.

If the Mac Version could be packaged, too, we could cover most
relevant operating systems there.

Hi,

2008/3/28, marco.pasetti@alice.it <marco.pasetti@alice.it>:

I also added info about the New GRASS Python GUI.

I would mention here that the wxPython GUI is highly *experimental*.
Also vector digitizer is disabled.

If you mean binary installer ready - done last weekend.

A CD? Dumping the installer + frameworks + python (+ maybe R) onto CD shouldn't be hard. I could do a quick ordered list of installation if you like.

Can do. It's been sitting at the back of my mind to do something like that, some people need things spelled out

On my downloads page -> Support -> Installation Guide.

Hopefully understandable. To simplify the optional stuff, I made Python a requirement for the guide.
