MARTIN, there is a problem in your *.PS file which PATRICIA (@UCSB) has
found out and I had the same troubles...
I got the file, downloaded it to DOS, transferred to MacOS to be printed
on PS-printer connected with Macintosh machine... somewhere in the middle
of this file the process is going down without any start command to print.
PATRICIA said it could be the PS command "begin false setduplexmode end"
                                          ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
which has to be removed... But this I could NOT do under "PS downloading"
on the MAC, under DOS-WP I got... "The file size cannot be opened".
I am curiuos to learn the reasons. I managed the transfer process for
other *.PS documents from the <MOON> the same way and it worked normally.

Now I'm afraid I don't know how to make repairs - if any are needed -
to a PS file. The file prints OK on our Digital Printserver 20, but I
don't know how you get it to print under a different O/S and on a different
type of printer. Probably you should avoid the problem by getting the WP5.1
doc (it's already in DOS format) and converting that to whatever you need.

Nevertheless, I could READ the file under MacWrite4.6

I sure hope you have a DOS-PC with WP5.1 installed somewhere...

It seems to me that the document is for your university's CC environment.
For the beginner GRASS itself has a lot of HELP instructions, also the
INTRODUCTION Guide gives a lot other useful hints I w'd recommend.

If you think something is missing in my doc, PLEASE let me know. I'm not
certain which document you mean by the 'INTRODUCTION guide', but if it's
not mentioned in my section 1.2 I'm interested.
One other thing, I never managed to get John Page's docs to print. If
anyone out there has, and can tell me if there's anything in there worth
copying to my doc, I'd be most grateful...
