I compiled GRASS on about every flavor of AIX known to man (RT, PS2, RS, ESA,
know of any other?). The only problems were the kind you always get:
redeclarations of malloc, optimizers running wild etc. Anyone with a
reasonable knowledge of C and Make can get GRASS running on AIX/ESA; the
compiler is very strict and warns about everything; more things are flagged
ofif than in other compilers but none difficult to remedy. I would have sent
you the details if I had kept them, but we are migrating here from mainframe
AIX to a more powerful RS/6000 cluster (1500M of internal memory, that kind
of thing). If you run into problems you cannot solve, mail me directly.
