Hello,
I’d appreciate any help with this. I have a list of Easting and Northing coords, along with a value for each point. I’d like to turn this into a map that I can then display and use for analysis. Or at the very least, is there a command that will allow me to identify where a given easting/northing is located in the display?
Thank You
Janet
Janet,
Have a look at r.in.xyz:

You may also want to try r.in.ascii. I found that in GRASS 6.1 r.in.xyz does not exist.

Unless you are sure you want a raster map, I would actually recommend
v.in.ascii.
