Hi list,
another question came to me: when digitizing larger objects, I need to pan during the process of digitizing. To do this in QGIS, I have to "close" the new boundary, use the pan-tool and start digitizing again - correct? I remember other programmes which allow to drag the visible extent during digitizing without having to set an "in-between"-vertex.
Best,
Wolfgang

Hi Wolfgang,
Just zoom and un-zoom in the map (you can do this with
the wheel-bottom). You don't have to close the
boundary at all.

No. This is the case in v.digit. In QGIS you *can* pan and zoom during
dititising.

Hi Maciek,
yes, indeed. Using the overview, cursor and mousewheel! Great thing! Thanks
for your help!
Best,
Wolfgang
