To drape the satellite imagery on the raster map how we have got two problems
the satellite image is getting pixellated and lot of noise in it(unwanted pixels).r.thin also did not work
how to download a good image from any other sites which have good resolution and can show the maps of India
and any other procedure to for draping the satellite images.using GRASS

Maybe you need to set the resolution to match that of the satellite image?
Beware if you have a very large map and the image is high resolution, of course.

we need more detail to go on than that.

Try r.in.onearth from the GRASS Wiki AddOns webpage, or r.in.wms
(supplied with GRASS 6.2+).

d.his + r.shaded.relief; or NVIZ with image map as the DEM's "color"
setting.
