[GRASS-user] Generating symbols or icons for line maps in ps.map

Hello all,

I am trying to generate icons or symbols, in this case highway markers,
for a line map in ps.map. Can anyone describe a work flow to accomplish
this? I would like to overlay the highway number on top of the actual
symbol if possible.

v.label and v.lrs.* might also be interesting.

use existing symbols in $GISBASE/etc/symbol/ as an example.
