Hi all.
Has anybody used last version (0.40) of gpstrans (v.in.garmin) recently?
Here we cannot have it working (is segfaults) on Debian etch.
The Debian developer cannot reproduce the problem, but we're getting it
systematically. One more reason to move to v.in.gpsbabel (and improve it)?
All the best.

Are you using over a real serial port or a USB->Serial converter?
The old 0.39 version had problems with those. Supposedly that was fixed
with the new version, but maybe not. (timing issue? gpstrans uses 100%
cpu IIR, so may work better on a dual-core system?)
no, we're using it with the good old serial.
0.39 goes well, 0.40 crashes.
does it work in your setting?
All the best.
