[GRASS-user] grass error on ubuntu hardy amd64

This sounds like a gdal-related problem. Either it's not installed
correctly, or a library needs to be linked properly. I don't remember the
details since I mainly use a Mac, but this has come up before and should be
in the mailing list archive. Try both the user list and dev list.

Hi!
I have installed Ubuntu Hardy and Grass63. When I tried to start with my
mapset I get an error: "Error setting region (Problem with g.region?) child
process exited abnormally". I should mention that in Windows platform I have
open my mapset, so that's nothing wrong with my data.
I am trying to migrate to linux, so I am new in this field, but I want to
benefit from my amd64 capabilities. Please help
Roscao
