Hi list,
I just encountered a problem, when trying to import a shapefile with a big
dbf-table that contains a duplicate field name.
I could not import this file into GRASS because of this and need to modify the
dbf-table first.
However, as the table is that large, I cannot open it in OpenOffice (too many
rows. The file is imported only partially) - any ideas for this issue?
Best regards,
Wolfgang

Use the 'cnames' option in v.in.ogr to manually specify column names.
