[GRASS-user] Grass osgeo4w 64bit not working

Hi all,

I'm trying to install GRASS 64bit using the osgeo64bit installer but the installed
GRASS 6.4.3 is not working properly ang gives an error,
something like:

g.mapset.exe has stop working

then the interface seems to start but i cannot load any raster data
as the interface to dislpay raster does not show up:

d.rast.exe has stop working

any idea on how to solve this ?

thanks,

Roy.

I'm not sure what is the situation now but 64bit OSGeo4W was experimental.
The stable version was only 32bit. You should be able to find more on
OSGeo4W website [1] or mailing list [2]. Let us know you progress.

Was experimental. It is just as stable as 32 bit now, just doesn't have
100% coverage of all the same packages (I think some web stuff is still
not 64bit). GRASS should be working. If it is not the place to report it
is the osgeo4w mailing list or the issue tracker
https://trac.osgeo.org/osgeo4w

Note, you can easily install both 32 and 64 bit on the same machine just
put them in different root folders.

Thanks,
Alex

Hello all,

I have installed the newest osgeo4w 64-bit with GRASS 6.4.3-5, and it's
still not working properly, returning "g.mapset.exe has stop working" and
"d.rast.exe has stop working" as our friend reported.

Any idea on how to solve this?

Thank you,
Rodrigo
