Dear people,
Considering the differences in scripts working in GRASS6 and GRASS7, is it possible to install and work with both versions of GRASS?.
Best regards

yes, it's possible. Be aware also vector format incompatibility. When
accessing vector data by both version, you will need to rebuild
topology using v.build.all. Martin

please note that there is a strong backwards compatibility. For example, G6
option names are still valid (if possible) thanks to this file:
https://trac.osgeo.org/grass/browser/grass/trunk/lib/gis/renamed_options
which is used internally to translate from G6 to G7, so you can use G6
option in G7.
Some removed G6 modules are available in Addons, for example r.los.

I would rather suggest identifying the differences in scripting API and
trying to introduce backwards compatibility if it is missing. Feel free to
open a ticket for the individual issues, so we can solve them on case to
case basis.
