Hello all,
since I did a cvs-update yesterday I cannot display any raster files any more.
GRASS 6.3.cvs (airfield):~ > d.rast map=PisteFotoRect -o
WARNUNG: No socket to connect to for monitor <x0>.
FEHLER: Keine Graphik-Ausgabe ausgewählt.

dear nisith,
sorry, I did not mention this is a 6.3 problem. 6.2 works fine.
If I start a monitor before I get a memory access error.
cheers, Jochen

hi jochen,
Do we assume you have started a monitor with *d.mon start=x0* or *d.mon x0,
*before trying
to open the map in the display. X0 is the active monitor where you want the
display to appear.Replace with a suitable monitor upto x7, as reqd.
At least your error , no socket to connect to suggest that the monitor is
not open.
Thanks
nishith
Hi Jochen,
last night a problem was fixed in XDRIVER. Maybe it cures your
problem, too (6.3-CVS).
