[GRASS-user] Highway alignment

Is it possible to find optimum alignment for highway. For given DTM,
to find alignment between two points A and B, which satisfy a number
of requirement (like gradient/slope, passes through villages having
hospital and through maximum number of other villages (minimum 2
villages) within given area, and having minimum cost). As I could not
find any such information in documentation available on Internet, any
pointer, suggestion or reference to person who has done such project
would be appreciated.

see if you can find a copy of the old Leics tutorial for GRASS 4/5.
it covers something similar.

one page each. Nothing about steps, commands is there. "OnLine
tutorial" link is not working.
