Hello !!
I am using cygwin 1.5.24 with postgres 8.0.7.
when i n initializing the data directory i m having following problem
$ /usr/sbin/initdb -D /usr/local/pgsql/data
The files belonging to this database system will be owned by user “pawan”.
This user must also own the server process.
The database cluster will be initialized with locale C.

I have down the following before initdb command
-
set CYGWIN=server
-
/usr/sbin/cygserver.exe &
and cygrunsrv is not required anymore for 8.0.x versions.
