just to update you on the Web stats development, here the grass.osgeo.org
statistics (remember, we have MANY mirror sites):

Odd about the number of visitors in April, as it's highly steady Jan-Mar. Different methods used between itc.it and osgeo.org? Somthing to do with the transition? (like moved in the 3rd week?)

As posted earlier [1], the April statistics have to be fixed (I have no time
for that). So it's transition-oddness.

if bandwidth is a problem we can (re)promote the ibiblio mirror more.

On the contrary - Bandwidth problems are unknown at telascience.org :slight_smile:
grass.osgeo.org is possibly one of the best connected servers
in the USA...

Pages 1214317 (2968736*)
Hits 2968736 (287537*)
Bandwidth 2376.14 GB (7001.80 GB*) <- !!

* "Not viewed traffic" includes traffic generated by robots, worms, or
  replies with special HTTP status codes.

The sample data packages are naturally creating quite some bandwidth
consumption.
