Dear all,
I came across this project: https://trac.osgeo.org/grass/wiki/GSoC/2021/JupyterAndGRASS. It would be great to use it for some training material that I am working on.
I most likely have missed something, but I could not find instructions on how to install grass.jupyter.
Any pointers will be really helpful
Thanks
Laura
Hi Laura,
You would need a current development version (GRASS GIS 8.1.dev).
For MS Windows you can get it here:
https://wingrass.fsv.cvut.cz/grass81/
On Linux you could clone the code and compile…
Cheers
Stefan

Hi Laura,
Indeed, it’s shipped with GRASS 8.0 already as experimental, but the newest stuff will be in the dev branch only.
This workshop from FOSS4G 2021 is a nice example of usage: https://github.com/ncsu-geoforall-lab/grass-gis-workshop-FOSS4G-2021

Hi Stephan and Veronica,
thanks! I installed grass 8.0.0RC2 and it is there. I will test if this is enough for the moment. If not I will install the development version from source.
Thanks a lot
Laura
