[GRASS-user] MacOS - Georectifier unable advance beyond source map type / location selection

Hello list,

I’m having some trouble getting past the setup screen with the Georectifier on an M1 Max MacBook Pro running the latest 8.2.0 (June 6) release.

I have a fairly rudimentary setup where I have imported a tiff image into an XY mapset to perform rough georeferencing of that image against a vector dataset in a UTM (EPSG:6341) mapset. Both mapsets are under a common GRASS GIS database path.

When I attempt to launch the georectifier from the UTM mapset and select the source data in the XY database I get the following message:

You must select a valid location and mapset in order to continue

I cannot seem to get past this setup screen with the Next button pictured below:

Graphical user interface, text, application, chat or text message Description automatically generated

Incidentally, I had this issue on prior 8x MacOS versions. However, if I take the same GRASS GIS database (both mapsets) created under MacOS, to a Windows machine (running GRASS GIS 8.0.1); I have no issues running the Greorectifier.

Has anyone else come across this issue or might there be a work around on the Mac that I’m missing?

Thank you for any suggestions.

Best,

Rob

Hi, Rob

I had the same issue. In my case, a workaround was directly type the name of the mapset and hit next button.

I hope it helps!
