[GRASS-user] map .dat or .map

Hi list,
I have some maps formed .dat and .map, exists a program that converts to
them in a importable format in Grass?

Best regards Dina.

Hello,
You can use v.in.ogr to import this files into grass.
You can read more info here :

Dina,
I believe the files are in a MapInfo format and you should be able to import
them with v.in.ogr (I think) if not you can convert them to a ESRI shapefile
using the ogr2ogr utility available with FWTools (open source).
