[GRASS-user] Network Analysis in GRASS

I have successfully run it over 150,000 points in stream network analysis with a 16GB RAM machine. Providing more details to the group will help.

Cheers for your help guys (moving house etc has delayed me). I’m just going to try running it on 6.4 first because I’m new to Ubuntu (from Windows) and not entirely sure how to build 7 from source yet. I’ll get back to you this week in how the analysis is going. How long until Grass 7.0 is officially released? Is there anything an amateurish self-taught Python programmer could work on?

BTW, I am convinced that the *nix OS paradigm combined with Grass is far superior to ArcGIS. Greatwork! I hope to be able to contribute in some form shortly.

One can compile and Install grass on ubuntu using this link:

It’s easy , accurate and it works!

I have mostly used GRASS7.
