[GRASS-user] problem installing GRASS

I get the following error when installing from the WinGrass 7.8.1 executable (standalone installer) from the GRASS website. “WinGRASS-7.8.2-1-Setup-x86_64.exe”

After downloading, it installs (but without the example datasets which it cannot find), gives no errors. but when i try to open GRASS i get:

“The program cant start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer…”

Can someone help me install it?

which operating system are you using?

during installation by the standalone installer, there is an option to
install Microsoft Visual C/C++ Runtimes.

activate this option, then Microsoft Visual C/C++ Runtimes are downloaded
and installed.

please report back, if it's working then.
