[GRASS-user] Problem with Map Display

Recently I am having trouble with all the zoom and pan functions in the map display. After first showing a map, the display is zoomed to the full extent of the map (as in Settings). But none of the zoom or pan (or mouse wheel) functions work. That is the map display does not refresh. If I then slightly resize the map display window the display refreshes and zooms or pans to the new region. If I add another map, it does not show, and “Zoom to selected map” does nothing. But again a slight change in size of the display window - just nudging the corner a bit - apparently triggers a refresh and the display zooms to the new map extent.

Here’s what I get in the console:

(wxgui.py:10767): Gtk-CRITICAL **: 11:12:15.192: gtk_box_gadget_distribute: assertion 'size >= 0' failed in GtkScrollbar

(wxgui.py:9757): Gtk-WARNING **: 10:54:41.120: Negative content height -1 (allocation 12, extents 6x7) while allocating gadget (node entry, owner GtkEntry)

micha@RMS ~ $ g.version
GRASS 7.6.1 (2019)
micha@RMS ~ $ wx-config --version-full
3.0.4.0

I am seeing this on Linux Mint 19. I tried to delete the ./grass7/wx file, and start with fresh GUI settings, but the problem appeared immediately. I also switched to the png driver, but no change.

Any suggestions?
