Hi list,
as written before, v.in.ogr is sometimes quite slow when importing very large
shapefiles. However, when I look at the ressources of my computer (using
top), v.in.ogr and (in this case sqlite) only use 5 - 6% of the cpu-load and
also not much memory.
I am not a specialist for these questions, but I would expect, that an
increased usage of the ressources would speed up the v.in.ogr. Maybe a
question for the developers?
