[GRASS-user] Quick question

Greetings,

I've imported some MapInfo maps.

The problem is that there are 38,000 areas, and some have imported with their centroids and boundaries, but without the areas.

How do I re-create the missing areas from a set of boundaries and centroids?

( I have tried V.build but it still arrives with empty areas).

GRASS "area" is a closed boundary(ies) + centroid inside.

You *propably* need to close boundaries, by snapping their
nodes. Depending on your dataset you might try v.clean
tool=snap to automate this.

v.build is not the right tool.
