Hello,
I wrote a script (that I called r.catalog) in order to get polygon to locate
set of raster file, maybe someone can be interesting to. Another definition
can be "a practical script to manage a paper map collection by
giving the region covered by every raster and
integrate them in a general 'catalog' layer", an assembling layer ?
This script can be downloaded in my website (in french at this moment, but an
english version will be create) :

There is a description in english inside the tar.gzip but the vector layer got
the name of the raster in the column called 'label'.
It may be possible to put it in the wiki ? If yes, where do you think it is
the best place : raster or vector ?
