[GRASS-user] r.in.arc Beyond the Man Page

I have files for 10M DEM in ARC/Info grid format that I want to use within
GRASS-6.4.0RC5. I read the man page, but do not know which input file to
use. I've not used this module before so I'm completely clueless.

   The souce data directory contains:

dblbnd.adf info/ prj.adf vat.adf w001001x.adf
hdr.adf log sta.adf w001001.adf

The r.in.arc syntax includes the input string, but which of the above do I
use? Or, do I need to convert each file separately?

TIA,

Rich

I've imported arc/info GRIDs before, but from .e00 files, or more
recently the exports from the arctoolbox as .txt files, which are
ascii files. I believe the files listed below are binary arc/info
GRID files.

Given the excerpt from the r.in.arc manpage, it seems to need an ascii file. (?)

"r.in.arc allows a user to create a (binary) GRASS raster map layer
from an ESRI ARC/INFO ascii GRID file with (optional) title."
