[GRASS-user] raster information to vector point

hi,

i have raster data-sets and vector-points of sampling sites.

is it possible to get the information from a raster-dataset to the vector-points in an automatically way?

d.what.rast is about clicking on every single point.

maybe v.drape, but the raster-dataset is not a elevation-raster.

How about v.what.rast, to which the v.drape manual links? (you have
read the manual, haven't you :wink: )
