since outstanding things are done with GRASS GIS, we should better
showcase the capabilities of this software. I would like to
propose to write up case studies in the Wiki which would, at the
same time, give visibility to you, your company or institution.

We have a couple of so-called "open access" papers with GIS analysis performed using GRASS from which it would be easy to draw material under CC-ShareAlike license (they are Creative Commons Attribution CC BY).

Would you or any other list member let me know if that is any close to what was expected -- or any other suggestion for that matter.
Kind regards,

With help from a colleague, we’ve put together and tried a procedure in GRASS to make predicted migration corridors for a certain insect pest.
Comments welcome!

Hi Markus,
I made a first attempt at a GRASS case study based on two open access papers, see

Is there already a wiki place/page where to start? I have noticed an
"Applications" page in the wiki:
would that be the place?
I have started
[http://grass.osgeo.org/wiki/Case_studies](http://grass.osgeo.org/wiki/Case_studies)
and would suggest to then cross-link in
[http://grass.osgeo.org/wiki/Applications](http://grass.osgeo.org/wiki/Applications)
