[GRASS-user] Start GRASS 7 on OS X directly into text mode?

Hi

under linux, I would say:

,----
| grass70 -text THEMAPSET
`----

but I can't figure out, how I can do this on OS X.

,----
| open -a GRASS-7.0.app --args --text
`----

does not work (starts normally) and does not seem to take any
arguments - is this correct?

Additionally, I would like to start this process in an already open
terminal, and not open a new one.

Any suggestions?

Hi

Found the solution:

using

/Applications/GRASS-7.0.app/Contents/MacOS/grass.sh --text

works.

Are there any downsides to this approach I miss?

Thanks,

Rainer

I'm interested in the answer, too. I got an impression that in Mac OS app

package there is always some sh or something which takes care of
everything, so probably the sh is fine unless it will be changed to
something else by packager which is not probable. But this is more guessing
than anything else.

Thanks,

Rainer
