Installed here is 7.3.svn, r70787. Several of the tools on the Temporal
menu of the Layer Manager are not working. So far I've tried t.register and
t.info with the same results: the menu display box gains a vertical space in
the center (the pieces align with the Layer Manager and Map Display
windows), then it closes. No dialog box for input is displayed.
The command line tools work fine.

Not sure what you mean, maybe a screenshot would help. Which operating system?
The command line tools work fine.

every works fine from the Temporal tools on GUI

Slackware-14.1.
Cannot provide a screen shot as the menu window quickly closes.
My point is that trying to use t.info and t.register via the GUI does not
work because selecting those items from the Temporal menu is a dead end.
