[GRASS-user] Using r.in.png

I’ve just re-entered the grass world, so I’m not up to date. However, I’ve been trying to import a PNG file as as background map - with no success at all. Nothing apparently happens.

The documentation on r.in.png is very terse. Is there more?

Many thanks to all,

Dave

For sure. Do you need to use the PNG file as as background map with
geographic reference?
Then also a world file is needed, do you have that?
If yes, just use r.import [1] instead of r.in.png and it should deal
with needed steps.
