[GRASS-user] using V VOL RST -Zscale for anisotropy

Hi,

I would like to know how zscale can be used to model anisotropy with V.VOL.RST. see attached image view 3d raster in paraview (showing 2 intersecting slices).

I am modeling soil texture and would like to give more weight horizontally than vertically.

thanks,
Francois

Salut Francois,

Have you tried setting "zscale" to a value
smaller than "1"? E.g. "0.5" should give
half as much weight to distances along the
Z axis (which is equivalent to giving twice
as much weight to X-Y distances).

Best,

Ben
