I compiled "grass-6.3.cvs_src_snapshot_2007_08_25".
But "v.generalize" does not work.

What can I do make it work ?

v.generalize has not yet been included into the main CVS.

You can get the code from the svn add-ons repository:

svn co https://grasssvn.itc.it/svn/grassaddons/trunk/grassaddons/v.generalize
