[GRASS-user] V.in.e00 and avcimport

Hello
I’m new to GRASS on Mac 10.11 and I believe I have all the required listed frameworks.
I’m trying to import an .E00 file using V.in.e00 and i’m getting the error message:

ERROR: 'avcimport' program not found, install it first
http://avce00.maptools.org

I’m not a programer and unsure how to compile the AVCE00 library and then where to place it so GRASS will find it. I’ve downloaded Xcode and the command line tools but unsure of the next step.

You might try to import that on a Windows machine, avcimport binary is distributed with winGRASS. If you want to run it on Mac I suggest to look if there are any building instructions coming with the avcimport code.
