Hi Prabhat,
I got your emergency call on the internet, and maybe I can help you with
some of it. First, the difference between 4.0 and 4.1 is not very big,
but you're probably right when you say that 4.0 has been tested better.
Some programs in 4.1 however have improved greatly, so that you may
consider changing to 4.1 once you get accustomed to using GRASS.
Secondly, I haven't got the faintest idea why you can't reach the
ftp-site on the moon, but I had the same trouble various times. And thirdly,
you can get the manuals out by either using g.manual in GRASS and catching
the output in a plain text file, or if your UNIX-version has that, go to
the man-pages in the original code and print them using nroff. Good luck to
