Hi, Agus
Particularly with the newest GRASS release (4.1.5), our GRASS seems to run
fine with Solaris2.3. We are using the traditional fifo's for graphics
monitors and experience quite good performance. I wouldn't let GRASS
compatibility issues hold you back.
Enjoy your new toy when you get it!

I heard grass4.1 gave some problems with Solaris in the past.
We'are planning to buy a workstation and compatibility with grass
is essential. What's the situation of Solaris and Grass now?
Thanks
Agus
ditto. It seems that the changes from 2.1 to 2.3 work out
in favor of the old fifo system (though I still think it
would be nice to get rid of fifos).
