On http://grass.itc.it/grass60/manuals/html60_user/index.html
the "How to start with GRASS" link is broken:
http://grass.itc.it/grass60/manuals/start/helptext.html
not sure where to find it.

Ah.
I have simplified the installation of helptext.html (lib/init/).
The file is now copied into the standard docs/html/
This cured the problem:
http://grass.itc.it/grass60/manuals/html60_user/helptext.html

Would it be useful to list the originating document's location in the
source tree as an embedded html comment to speed up fixes?
e.g. I have done this with the SQL help page which took me a while to
find in the CVS.

Sure: just look at the source HTML code
Was already done (ok, today).
